As a computer programmer, I have to regularly. I just wish we had learn't up to our 16x table at school.

I remember writing fast multiply and divide routines in assembler, where early microprocessors didn't have multiply and divide instructions.

Microprocessors weren't invented when I wrote assembler programs on an IBM 360/40, 64k core bomb of ferrite rings.

And what's wrong with punch cards or punch tape. As a traditionalist I bet TB stills uses them for backups.
