« on: 03 July 2014, 22:48:03 »

Hi...are all the omega facelift saloon boot struts all the same or are the omegas fitted with a boot spoiler different due to the extra push up needed when opening the boot lid. :-\ :-\

What Rob said :y the struts are there to provide leverage on the saloon rather than supporting the weight...

The reason i ask is....on my last omega i fitted a boot spoiler and when i opened the boot as usual it came down and hit the back of my hand as i was putting shopping in and broke two fingers...ouch.....I also have a vauxhall astra 5door hatch back and fitted a spoiler to that and had the same trouble that it came back down if the wind was behind it...by asking the question I was told that i needed the up rated boot struts as came from factory because of the extra weight. So bought two as required and job was a good un...no broken fingers.....Hence my original question about the omega boot struts. :y
