Seat compatibility - From sedan to caravan.
« on: 09 September 2014, 10:29:14 »

Hello people! I bought a '93 Caravan, and i need to change the seats in it. I found a guy who has a spearpart-car, but it's a sedan. I'm wondering if the seats fit from the sedan to my caravan. I'm pretty sure the front seats would fit (would be wierd if they didn't), but I'm worried about the read one. Anyone who have tried this? Thanks for answers!  :)

Fronts will fit but the rears wont, front seats from later cars have extra safety devices but on the earlier model it should not cause an issue. Check the seat belt tensioners are the same or swap them over from the old seats

Guessing it's a Carlton rather than an Omega B, in which case it won't have either pre tensioners or airbags :y

Omega A wasn't called an Omega in the UK; Omega A = Mk2 Carlton, Omega B = Omega.. so for us the Omega didn't exist before 1994 :)

[edit] For added confusion, the first generation Carlton was basically an Opel Rekord ;D
