Monza F1

Good race :y the field is closing up and some nice overtaking. Rosberg gave in to pressure, (or orders for the cynical) and the spoilt brat was booed again. Nice to see Massa on the podium have Wiliams sacked Sam Michaels ??? ::) ;D

Good result, but, a bit dull in the end, I thought.

But no matter. I love watching F1 cars, Monaco aside, which winds me up as a complete waste of time. ....although....(terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired)  If you said Monaco or nothing at all, I'd (terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired) take Monaco gladly. All things being relative and all. ........Mclaren are doing my head in.... How are they so slowwwwww.... (ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz)

Loved Lewis's comment about Rosberg not being able to handle being "hunted down so i'm going to do that every race from now on"  ;D

Also good to see that Rosberg's attempt to sweet talk the Italian crowd by talking to them in Italian blew up in his face  ;D

Yes , good result.

Bit light on action but enjoyable enough. Highlight for me was Lewis ignoring "drop back a bit and save your tyres for a go at Rosberg later".

Mercedes chocolate engineering again. I sometimes hanker after the "olden" days when the technology was simple and the driver was everything and didn't have the pit saying select mix 3, save fuel, drop back a bit to save left rear tyre etc etc..

Dan Ricciardo is showing real class yet again. Some great overtakes which for me are the mark of a great. Bottas continues to impress.

Lewis in Honda Mclaren next year?

Or maybe Lewis and Ricardo at McLaren next year if the rumours about how good the Honda power plant is turns out to be true  :y

If I remember correctly Lewis in under contact until the end of 2015, and Riccardo until 2016. So it would cost a lot for that dream team in 2015, but could work for the 2016 season after the experienced Button helps shape the Mclaren next season.
Rumour has it that they will test the Honda power plant after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix so the design must be well advanced.

If Mercedes say they can sack a driver for taking his team mate off AND they said openly( sorry can't find the link) that they want an all German driver line up - then Lewis could easily be free next season.

Button would make a good test driver or number two.  has Grosjean got a drive for next year?

Can't see Button at McLaren next season tbh  :-\
Not with the amount of young blood with real talent around at the moment willing to drive for less money.

As for Lewis and his contract, I can't see him and arrogant sausage eating little shit Rosberg in the same team next season so i'm sure something could be sorted out between Ron Denis and Toto Wolf if needs be.
That is unless Mercedes are truly a international team and have the balls to dump the latest blue eyed boy of Deutschland.

Mercedes are already hinting that if Lewis wants another contract, he will have to take a drop in wages / do more promotion work for his money so it could be a win - win scenario for all concerned.

The speculation is fun :y Williams are the only team to confirm their drivers for next year, Vettel and Riccardo will more than likely be at Red Bull with Alonso staying at Ferrari. I can't see Raikkonen staying, so a seat at Ferrari will start the merry go round of the paid drivers. Halkenburg could join Fernando, leaving a seat with Force India, then again he is German and could be a target for Mercedes to accompany the half German spoilt brat. ;D
Mclaren are pivotal in the driver stakes, do they retain Jenson for one season to help shake down the new car, and replace Magnuson with Lewis. So in reality there is one seat at Ferrari, one at Force India, one or two at Mclaren, none at Williams and maybe one at Mercedes. It will all come out in the wash.
The rest are mostly pay to drive guys so who's got the richest daddy. :(
What fun. ::)
