Water pump
« on: 20 September 2014, 11:14:37 »

Hi

Does anyone know if there is a maintenance guide to do a 2.6v6 water pump. Can't seem to find it.

My main concern is do you need to take cam belt of to change pump??

Thanks

IIRC the pump is driven by aux belt, located in the front mid of the block. Take intake pipes, aux belt, aux tensioner, PAS pump's pulley, water pump's pulley and the loom's plastic cover off and then the timing belt cover off and you'll see the water pump sticking out in the middle :y
ps. loosen both pulley's bolts a bit before taking off the belt to make the job easier.

Make sure that you are not due for a cam belt change whilst  its pulled apart.
