In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 am, regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the supernatural.

No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 AM Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents. The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 AM all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits. Just when the clock struck 11:00 Fernando Rodriguez, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner.

Still Having a Bad Day?

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

Still think you are having a Bad Day?

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she ran outside and grabbed a handy plank of wood and smacked him with it, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his iPod.

Are You OK Now? - No?

Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

What? STILL having a Bad Day?

Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with 'Return to Sender' stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits. God is good!

I've got a good story for you - it's all true.

When I was 8 my family and I emigrated to Canada. I hated it there and got bullied off pupils and teachers alike for being English. I prayed that I could go back home to England. I used to stay up all night every night so the days in-between school seemed longer.

One day my mum suddenly announced that we were all going back home (but she didn't mention that it was only for a visit). My dad would stay as he had to work. He was a miner. She later told me that a ghostly figure had visited her in the night, and begged her to go back to England with me and my two sisters, as we were in grave danger.

The morning after we came back to England I went downstairs to find my mum crying hers eyes out. Our home had burnt to the ground with my dad inside it. I kept imagining my dad burning to death.

I cried every day for months and months until one day my nan got annoyed and told me not to cry anymore as I didn't have to:

'You're crying over your dad but you can stop as he wasn't your day anyway.'

'You're adopted!'

It's all true. My mum has never been the same since then.

A while after I met lots of my family that I never knew existed. My mum got insurance money so we made a new start as all we had left were our clothes.

I have only visited my adoptive dads grave once. It was in 2010 in Sunderland. He died in 1977. He used to treat me like shit to be honest. He was nice to my sisters though.

The funny thing is, just before we left for England, I told one of my teachers that I was leaving Canada and never coming back. I never did go back either.

I think it was the mining company that paid for that.

Anyway, I didn't mean to hijack the thread. Anyone else got a sad story?
