2.2 MAF reading at idle
« on: 16 November 2014, 21:47:05 »

Can a 2.2 owner with a code reader check what their MAF reads at idle (once at normal idle speed) please?

TIA :y

Ive not really played around with the live data side of a code reader till now ( i just used it when i first got the car to read error codes ) But on saying that,,,Dont the live data side give you loads of info..IE... Lots more than above.

It first gives you a CSV.file, Which i put into a data base reader and you get a lovely spreadsheet.. (thought it was great)

I suppose the idea is to keep the live data sheet from when car is running good and then compare it at a future date if needed. :y

Its good to have a baseline, so when things go Pete Tong, you can grasp a better idea of whats wrong.

Agreed. :y  So why not have a Engine Ecu data sheet for each of the omega engines, Showing readings at (idle or different stages) , Warmed up engine. On Known running good cars. In the Maintenance section.

That way members will have something to compare to for there particular engine.

Each reader seems to have a different format, and some values are time dependent.

That said, the basics of that idea is a good one :y

Is the ECU happy to take/save readings on the move..IE:- 70mph motorway flat road cruise on....Start recording..

                                                         Obviously i mean the passenger
