Battle of the gremlins....
« on: 11 November 2014, 18:06:08 »

Cc started playing up yesterday. Fan speed totaly unresponsive to temp setting. As was temp itself. Then noticed the temp on cid was showing FoC ...hmmm I wonder what that's trying to tell me then ;D sure enough, outside temp sensor completely missing. (Sigh )

Numpty at dealers ordered in plenum to manifold seals intead of breathers to plenum seal I asked for.  Showed him on the car what was needed. Came back with a pic of the coolant bridge and related pipe work, asking "is this what you need?"

Remote refused to open the boot. Walked to the drivers door in order to press the button on the dash, one last press on the fob, boot opened. ::)

Drive off, park at next destination, key won't come out. Jiggle jiggle. Ffs. Jiggle jiggle. (Sigh) shall I just go home? Jiggle gear lever, click, key comes out. ::)

Harmon kardon display refused to light up, then was fine.

Speedo and Rev counter went on the fritz again on re start, after a long lay off for that particular gremlin.

McDonald's gave me the wrong burger, and the m4 was buggered due to an accident clogging up the whole of my favourite shit whole in the world that is a Reading.

Next time I shall just stay in bed!  ;D

No! It doesn't! Not even on the face lifted face lift it doesn't.

Saab had the right idea with that body, but then the interior is shocking on the newer 9-5. You'd think gm could make at least one good car out of the numerous models they have available.

Saab 9-5 with insignia interior, and rear wheel drive v6 from the omega and v8 for the flag ship model, with sport suspension and ALL the toys.

....but most certainly not an insignia body shape. Astra is much better. And the new Estate is huge.

The correct wheels ie at least 18" and front fogs definitely help, as dies the exterior pack... The Irmscher cross country kit tidies the St shape up a treat... Nice and purposeful 8)
