Why 2?
« on: 13 November 2014, 20:44:23 »

I know the Insignia is not universally liked on here,although I must admit that although I'm unlikely ever to own one I actually quite like them,but why does it have two speedometers?There's the "ordinary" dial with a needle one and between that and the rev counter a small digital one,why?Must say though the digital one reminds me of those LCD watches that were popular way back in the seventies!

Because it is a car designed by people (that) for people (who) think a digital readout is the new frontier.

I can plug in a £7 ELM327 device into most cars with OBDII capability and have a digital display on my phone.

That's hardcore!  ;D ::)

The digital speed reading is part of the 'computer' function and it can be scrolled through MPG, mileage, nav direction info etc. etc etc.....hence optional and able to display whatever of the options you fancy.
