Quite possibly. My thinking is that England mainly did as well as they did over the last 20years following Fergys fledglings and the youth scheme at Utd.
But then I am biased. And there have been some great players from other teams including Gerrard etc.
My point is those youth schemes seems very quiet these days. Although they would be going well to replicate the number of first team players that UTD did for example. That was an exception to the rule I think.
Remind me what England have won over the last two decades, Mr Gixer.

Ok I'll put it the other way. Imagine how shite England would of been WITHOUT those youth schemes. Then look at how quiet those youth schemes are now.
You think the future was bleak 10 years ago, the next 10 will be hellishly poor, imo.
