Sydney cafe seige
« on: 15 December 2014, 21:12:26 »

The siege of a café in Sydney is at an end.Aussies went in with flash bangs or whatever they're called and guns on the go.How much if any shooting came from the hostage taker and how much from the rescue team not clear at present.Head count so far is 3 dead, two hostages[a 30 odd year old man and a woman also in her 30s]and the hostage taker. It seems he was already known to Australian police/security services. The body count may yet rise, dependant on severity of injuries sustained and how good/quick the medical services are.

We happened to watch it late last night as it unfolded. Mrs V said rapid head shot to the hostage taker. I agreed.

Saw petrified hostages running out after the police went in.

I wonder if a news blackout is the way. If that's even possible with ti'Internet these days.

TBH Im glad they shot him, maybe that will teach them a bloody lesson... and maybe it'll start to make the ruddy IS know that we're fed-up of their shit...

Apparently the hostage taker was just staging a demonstration..... you dont take hostages and terrify them at a demonstration... served him right that he got shot... shame about the 2 that got shot, the other died of heart attack whilst in hospital...

Joking aside, I wonder why they didn't take that shot?  :-\

I saw a clear view of him through the window on the news last night, which looked fairly straight forward... Maybe they thought he had an accomplice?  :-\

I reckon it might be because the terrorist said that he had a bomb and they might have thought if they shoot him he might have let go of the trigger device and set the bomb off...?

I guess it depends if you're Christian, or think Christians are the infidels of the world.

Not that religious origins were anything other than power struggles
