Anyone buy their groceries online?
« on: 20 December 2014, 16:33:18 »

We buy groceries online for two elderly housebound relatives via the Internet.

It works exceptionally well.

However I suspect that they aren't geared up for the Xmas rush. We were lucky with one last slot for one person. The other we had to change supermarket!! Then we had very limited delivery slots.

Anyone else having difficulty?

Roll on drone delivery and the eggs etc are just dumped on the front lawn before going back to base for next lot. ;D ;D ;D

Yep we've been shopping online for a number of years now, we use ASDA's online shopping thingy (well she does anyway)..

They do get limited timeslots, but if you get in early enough - usually a couple of days beforehand, for the normal times of year, they can usually accomodate it... Around this time of year you need to book your slot a couple of weeks in advance... as we have had to do for a delivery on Tuesday coming...

Think I may try morrisons...as we have had 2 morrisons pop up local to me in recent months....they don't do delivery at the moment in Swindon....but then I may just pop into the stores  :-\

They seem to be better on prices on some things than the local coop I usually go to ....

Top tip tho....I plan to visit my local coop , bout 1/2 hr before they close on chrimbo eve...as they will be closed for 2 days....just about all the fresh meat will be reduced to less than 1/2 price to get rid of it  ;) :)

Tesco are shite and it's easy to understand how their empire is crumbling before their very eyes.

They gave up on quality, price, and customer service years ago.
