The Catera is an Omega ::) designed and built at the same single plant at Russelheim, Germany :y

It may well zig, but the only American things about the Catera are the chromed alloys and decent cupholders ;D

Is there a difference between A&B other than about 15 years use?
A looks like mine before I sanded and polished them; B is the result.

This is my 2001 Catera Sport. All Sports have HID D2S Zenon lowbeams with H7 highbeams. Standard Cateras have Halogen H1 lowbeams with H7 highbeams. The cutoff is different over here due to our penchant for wronghand drive (LHD). Whether you can convert them to RHD is moot. Catera lights won't pass your MOT without the required markings. Maybe converting the Omega lights to accept the Catera's HID guts might work but not being familiar with your MOT I really can't advise.

PS: Forgive the splattering of bug guts. That's just summer in Upstate New York.

Thanks.
the picture i have has complete different Headlights.
so this clarifys the fact they not original catera Lights then.

That's why we have the confusion.
i try to upload the Picture but it says about copyrights and unable to do so.
maybe i find a way to find out somehow what Lights are in this one then.

Thanks anyway.

Yep. Sorry but in the picture I added - the Catera lighter were 'A' and the Omega lights are 'B' - as Taxi Al spotted, so 5 points to Taxi Al.  :)

As you say, you must have seen some other lights fitted - possibly the Depo lights. Also they never had DRL fitted in the cluster, so these would be an aftermarket.

No problem, asking is how we learn.  :)

Exactly the same bulbs as every other Omega :y

is a white catera, full spoiler kit, dark lense and  looks like full HID Lights, not the projector lights / hid  my omega has, with led's going on the bottom up on the side dividing indicators from it.
indicator yellow ledes.
very strange assemble but looks cool.
the lights looking a bit blue while on. so expect fully hid 6000k or above.
plus the round element what bmw has is in them too, which can be switched as sidelights.

still trying to find any info so i may find out who made them.

The owner was CateraMV6. I say was because he has since sold the car. If I find a thread showing the installation of the LEDs I'll post the link.

PS: Don't let the plate or Opel badge fool you. His goal was to return his Catera to its Omega roots.

Not exactly a step by step tutorial but there are really good pictures of the LEDs.

That link is a practically definitive description of how to modify the Omega headlights. Good find  :y

 :y
yes. found it after 1 hour search. lol

Thanks.

this looks similar, but how would the round led's over the bulbs fit without influence the actually low or high beam lights?

the one i seen have them leds like that, low beam /  high beam and over the actually bulbs round ones attached.
the one you usualy see on the bmw's.

i guess that's selfmade ones too then.
in the case above, the lights need to be taken apart to do it, where the problem comes onto it -
not easy. ha ha  :-\

the one above looking good, but i think my tinkering experience with that is not good enough. to go on the risk of damaging the whole light. ha ha

and also out of experience - them led's don't hold long, so after maybe 2-3 month the will need to be replaced which is too much hassle.
would be cool getting such style lights from a shop ready to fit.' ::)
