When we were looking we settled on the Alhambra 130TDi SE, it was far better equipped and much bigger than the Zafira (which we realised was essential when my sons, Mrs VXL's daughter and the dog in it's cage was in the back) Also, at the time, a Zafira with a 1.9 Diesel in it (no way did we want to swap a 2.2DTi Omega for a 2.2DTi Zafira and live on borrowed time with the VP44!!!) was beyond our budget.

Plenty of them knocking around for around £1500/2k

Just get a couple of East Europeans to give it a wash and full wax, plus air freshener and it will sail through an MOT no problem.  ::) ::) ::)
