Did all elite models have a rear sunblind or am I wrong?
If not how would you fit one when the amp is hanging there and what looks like a mesh elongated speaker cover is next to the 2 x rear parcel shelf speakers

Not all elites have rear the blind as I found when I bought mine. If you can find one they can be fitted. You should find the wires already in the car with a plug. It doesnt matter if the plugs are differnt as you can just cut the plugs off and join the wires together. Strip down the back seat the undo the orginal shelf lift out then fit the shelf withe the blind built in wire it up install the switch and away you go. :y

Not fitted apparently to very late Elite models. Again, apparently the wiring will already be in place & a case of just swapping a rear parcel shelf including a rear blind for the none blind parcel shelf ..... and obviously the switch up front.

The elongated 'speaker cover' is just to allow ventilation through to the boot  :y

Did that on my current 53 Elite.

Bought a Bose parcel shelf with rear blind fitted and dash switch.Wiring loom is taped up behind boot trim on passenger side so its just a matter of plugging the 2 together.Tricky bit is removing and then refitting the new parcel shelf with the blind fitted and getting it located onto the plastic fittings already in the metal of the parcel shelf .

Then just push button and hopefully blind will work  :y

2002 and 2003 Elites didn't have them. And to add insult, although look is in place, they changed the plug!

So get a short bit of loom as well to replace plug of cars loom.
