Probate
« on: 01 May 2015, 22:28:05 »

Anyone done this themselves?  ???

I've been looking at some 'How to guides' and it looks reasonably straight forward, although I bet there are plenty of pitfalls.  :-\

Solicitors, Accountants etc charge a fortune for this sort of work.....  ::)

TIA!  :y

My cousin did it himself twice, and a lot of monies and property was involved. If my mum departs before me, I intend to do it myself, as there is no property involved, only bank account and insurance.
My cousin said it was straight forward......
Doesn't really help you Steve, but just a comment.

PS...totally off topic...will we be graced by your presence Monday :)

I was planning on coming Tony as I enjoyed last year and Gixer was going to sort my wishbones and rear poly doughnuts for me!  :D

However I can't make it now due to events related to the OP.  :'(

Mrs V did probate herself about five years ago . Quite straightforward. Loads of info on the web.

The subject was a thread in General discussion about that time.
