off out . . . good cause gig
« on: 01 May 2015, 19:23:31 »

Swmbo & me of out tonight to a fund raising gig being performed by some old band mates of mine.

Local guitar playing guy with 3 kids & not very well off , sadly lost his wife suddenly a while back . She was only 40 , They

went to bed one evening , he woke in the morning to find she had died in her sleep.

Anyway the guys are putting on this show tonight to try & raise several hundred quid & hopefully nearer a grand , to give the

guy & his 3 kids a holiday .

Good cause I think  . . . so we are off to it  . .  good bit of "live"  50's /60's music , with plenty of twanging stratocasters  :y

Update:   had a real good night . . .  had a few strongbows ;D ;D     band played well, right up my street that late 50's / 60's stuff.
The night was a great success & raised £1000 for Pete to take his 4 young kids on a week long break .

Come home on the last train (only 2 stops)  Just gotta go back this morning & find SWMBO's  Corsa  :-[ :-[ :-[
