New TR anyone?
« on: 04 May 2015, 12:46:47 »

According to the TR register the tooling for the Triumph TR2 was sold to Russia in the '70s and a surviving plant there does occasionally produce a new one.By tooling I presume they mean for the bodyshell, floorpans, doors etc.?If that's correct I wonder what sort of motor/drivetrain they put in there.

Probably something from a Lada.

You would wonder at the efficiency and therefore costs of a plant that occasionally produces a TR2 body
