Fancy a quality car wash?
« on: 13 May 2015, 04:50:13 »

Bubble Boyz apparently give the best hand job in town  ::)

http://youtu.be/q7cUiEQ3J6o

For fellow detailers this is ones worst nightmare come true :o :o :o :o :o :o

Can imagine the amount of swirl marks these people put into these cars   :'( :'(

Lesson of the day... Don't let a load of oompa loompas clean your car no matter how quick their hand job is  :D ;D

I would never ever take my cars to a place like that!! there's a similar one at our local Homebase and a couple of times I've sat and watched their methods, and the amount of people that take their pride and joys into that place just to get the car's paintwork beaten to death with pressure washers set on kill astounds me.Then the worst thing is they actually pay for the pleasure of it all!! A big NO NO!!! for me ::)

For years I took my mint Omega to places like that thinking there was no alternative for people with no access to a hose. I was never happy with the results. The drying stage always made me nervous!

Not much attention paid to the bodywork below the front number plate. :(

I have had mine up the East Europeans this morning. They are brilliant at their job. Their latest little touch is to go around the car at the end with a little air hose and a chamois. They blow the water out of the shut lines and door mirrors and wipe it off.
Unlike the YouTube bunch, they are very careful and take much longer over the job. £5. :y

Have to say I use a couple occasionally, not as dramatic as the video, they seem to do a good job, if I want to 'detail' the car then I would do it myself, but for a quick wash at a fiver, I am quite happy.............. :y :y

Only use them if the car is totally covered in shite and I can't be arsed to tackle it. Sit back and listen to my music   :y

The 4x4 driver got ripped off they could reach the sunroof section of the car to clean it.  Alot of fuss and polaver for a poor job. :-\
