Well if you go for a lazy day, fair play  :y

4 pot locking kit is just a basic wedge on the two cams...thats it......so you might be able to find one locally......motorfactors etc.......be about a fiver.....

But be prepared it could be a long day.......if you've never done one before.......

Ive had an expert from this forum to do mine twice now......first time...easy peasy for him.......2nd time.....it took several attempts to get the timing spot on.......and he knew what he was doing.......

That many miles and no history it would be worth doing the waterpump as well........they are cambelt driven on the 4 pots and dont tend to last too long........

Good luck on what you decide.......... :)

Its not difficult, seriously, if the timing is correct before you slacken the tensioner and take off the old belt, then its not going to move before you fit the new one, so you might not need a lock. I didn't use one. OK, I've been mucking about with cars for some time, but a couple of hours should do it. Ask Capers, he did his recently. I go with the "change the water pump at the same time" bit. If you do that, its not going to go wrong for a long time, and its easy when you have all the bits off.
