Benefits
« on: 14 June 2015, 13:26:16 »

I'm aware that several members of OOF have had problems with their benefits, including one having to go to an assessment at an inappropriate time and place while having ongoing hospital treatment so their benefits weren't stopped.

Statistics were published showing that 10,600 people had died within 6 weeks of having their benefits stopped between January and November 2011. Since then IDS and the DWP has blocked the publication of any further statistics. This has been referred to the Information Commissioner's Office and the Government lost, but it has now gone to appeal.

If like me, you think these statistics should be published as secretive government is very often bad government, please sign the petition, using the link below:

I'm a socialist at heart and like to believe it is a good thing for a civilised society to have a safety net for those in GENUINE need.
