Power sounder leak

Here's what i removed today , just in time as the batteries had started to leak and burn the circuit board  :(

Mine was removed yonks ago.

I still have it and as yours is clearly f*cked I'll let you have it for £30. :)

I took mine out a couple of years ago - fortunately before the batteries started leaking.

The batteries in mine were totally different to the ones in your photo :-\

In the early stages the leakage current might be 10s or 100s of milliamps. It will be enough to make the circuit board go brown but will take several days or even weeks to flatten a fully charged battery.

In the final stages a near short circuit can occur. At 1 amp a fully charged 55Ah battery will be unable to start an engine after 24 hours. At 10 amps say 2 or 3 hours.

1 Amp or more will be enough to 'let the smoke out'.  :(
