“Big End Bearing on No1 cylinder worn

 :o

Not heard of any bearing failure before  :-\
Wonder if its just a duff lifter  :-\

Asked why it was not running and got the reply

The top end was stripped down to establish the problem and therefore the engine wont run now. The oil was drained and white metal was plentiful. It ran beautifully prior to the big end going

Sounds like he might have done a bit of investigation , if that was nearer it would be on me drive by now  ;D Bet robg will have it  ::)

That would be a perfect buy for me if it wasn't so far away. It would be a shame to break it. Drop in another engine in if need be, and it would be a nice car.
Apart from the distance involved , I spent my spare cash on a 1.2 Fiat Punto this morning.  :-[ ;D

Standard fit on the late Elites.

If the big end bearing was worn, it`ll still run :-X
It would still run if there were no piston or rod in that cylinder  ;D ;D

Its a non runner for another reason..... go on someone ask him  ;D ;D

Yep , 5 pot will be ok for a few hundred miles . Just stuff some rag in the hole  ;D ;D
Ran mine on 3 cylinders , still got me home  :P
