What radio?

Long time since I've changed battery on a car with a Vauxhall non-NCDC radio, I was fairly quick last time but still needed the code  :-\

Not sure but think i swapped a battery over once and never had to re-input the code , guess only one way to find out  :( New battery just been delivered and its the proper full size jobby , not like the one someone fitted .. a half size one  >:(

Just what I was going to suggest, Rob, but Mr. EMD might find it more convenient to apply a 12 v source via the cigar lighter socket? Any old charger would suffice for the source.

Ron.

Understood. Well, unless you have a spare plug with loose wires you are better off following Rob's suggestion and clamping your charger leads onto the battery clams, then when you unbolt the battery you will still have power to the radio, etc - then no drama!

No, ciggy socket is a switched feed, as Rob says across your battery terminals with another battery, as your charger may not be regulated without a battery load connected.
