question for automatic gearbox
« on: 28 October 2015, 09:43:30 »

i have a opel omega caravan automatic 2000cc , 16v , 136ps , 1998 model.
I bought it used and do not know what alterations have been made.
my wonder has to do with Gearbox.
my gearbox, has 1,2,3,D,N,R,P.
but the roads change 5 speeds !!!
5th speed at 2000 rpm went to 90 kmh
So get out of the factory or has been changed the gearbox, and joined by another model;

The gearbox is a 4 speed type, but it also had torque converter lock-up which can feel like another gearchange as it happens. During gentle acceleration, that happens at about 45 MPH (70km/h).
