My original post:-

"Last Wednesday, I went to his place to have my cam covers changed as they were leaking over hot exhaust and creating embarrassing smoke, and as service was due, had that done to make the journey more worth while.
He fitted the cam covers that I got from someone on the forum, adjusted the handbrake, changed all filters, including the fuel filter, and new plugs too, cleaned the breathers and of course a new oil filter - all for a good price.
I won’t say how much, because price isn’t the only reason: integrity, careful workmanship and trust that a good and honest job will be done are also important factors.
There was a small cause  for concern, however. After the oil change, Serek spotted a small oil leak from the filter, so he re-seated it and it appeared to stop leaking.
On my way home, the "Chack oil level" message came on and when I looked after arriving home, it was off the bottom of the dipstick.
I messaged the next day, asking what was the most likely cause, so that I could get it sorted locally rather than drive all the way back to him for such an apparently trivial problem and - this is the incredible part - he offered to come to me and fit a new gasket at my place, at no cost to me!
Obviously I couldn't allow him to spend all that time away from his business, never mind the fuel cost, so he is sending me a gasket and I'll get my local garage to fir the gasket. Maybe they will charge be less than an hour's labour?
But honestly, what a man! I know of no other business man who would offer to do that and it shows exactly why he is so well regarded on the forum."

Today's update:-

So, today Serek messaged me saying that rather than send me the gasket and trust another garage to fit it, etc., he would come to me and fit it himself – “Will it be ok for me to come at 7:30 PM?”

At 7:25 he appeared, at 7:50 he was gone, job done! A million thanks, Serek, you are a saint: THAT is the stuff legends are made of!!!!!

Beat that for service, Oofers - not even Kwik-Fit is as good....... ::)

yep i had a leak from the filter after national tyres fitted it. lost a litre driving it.  they had to remove and re-fit (and give me a litre of oil). fitter blamed the pattern filter.  switched to spin on after that and now do oil changes myself, never leaked again.

My thoughts exactly, Baza.
Last week, in the pouring rain on the M11, I doubted the wisdom of driving all that way in very slow, congested traffic (took me 3 hours) but clearly it was well worth it to have work done by a perfectionist who knows Omegas inside out and has honesty, integrity and perfect after-service.
But then, you all knew that already.
If there are any members new to the Forum that need work done and live closer than, say 100 miles or so - make that journey to Serek's at Huntingdon, you will never regret it.................
