thing with welding is you tend to blast it  with a grinder anyway so as long as the metal sticks two pieces then grind it and its job done  ;D




If that's the case, you need a lot more practice! You should should never grind a weld, but it's often necessary on car body work to hide the join on external panels. Welding under the car is best left alone.
