3.2 Elite heater problems
« on: 18 November 2015, 08:35:28 »

Hi All,

I have just purchase an Omega 3.2 Elite Estate as a run around and have found that the heaters don't work. The fan seems to work but only cold air comes out of the heaters. It looks like someone has possibly been in about the climate control unit as it is pushed in o the passengers side, and there seems to be very little air coming out of the drivers windscreen demist vent.

I have read in other forums of similar issues but there does not seem to be a definitive answer. The engine temperature is fine so not likely to be a thermostat issue.

Any suggestions?

First check is to establish if you have hot coolant circulatiing through the heater matrix..

.Are both the top and bottom metal pipes that enter the cabin from the drivers side below the coolant reservoir hot to touch ?

Have you a good flow through the matrix...suggest flushing it through both ways with a hose.."how to" in maintenance section.

Once you have ensured you are getting hot coolant to go through the matrix comeback and if no improvement we can look further ,but they would be the first simple steps :y
