My 2.2 auto has a gearbox shifting problem, which I have asked about on here before. Most noticably, it sometimes stays in first too long when accelerating. It may not be changing properly at other times.  Having said that it does work, and it seems not to be deteriorating.
Gearbox specialists have been little help - it could be slipping they say, but could this happen with the 2.2?
The fluid is said to be ok, and changing the fluid is expensive, and they don't recommend it (although they have on here).
I have got a sheet of gearbox fault codes - could an OOFer translate them?
Assuming that it did indicate a repair, where could I take it?
Thanks again.

There are two pages:-
U0<80 - refer to official manual
U3118 - refer to official manual
P0743 - Torque converter clutch circuit electrical
U1080 - the DTC defined by manufacturer
U3118 - refer to official manual
P0747 - pressure control solenoid A stuck on
P0727 - Engine speed input circuit no signal
P1781 - the DTC defined by manufacturer.

Page two lists P0727 and P1781.

There are no related warnings in the car, nor the EML on.
I replaced the cam sensor some time ago (after these codes were read-off) in case this is relevant.  This improved the starting and occasional EML warnings, but made no difference to the gearbox.

Sounds like a gearbox solenoid issue to me, I had to rev the knackers on my 2.2 to get it to shift up and then it would change up with a thump then not know what gear it wanted to be in

Have you got your own code reader? Can you clear the codes and check which codes come back again?

swapped the solenoid and it was ok for a bit then went again so I binned it, I've got an AR25 auto box with only 63k on it if you end up needing one

Haven't got my own code reader. Had to go to a specialist garage.
