Special tools needed ?

Can it be done off your back (at the roadside) ?

I was asked to do one of these recently but book time of 7 hours and most of the front end off whilst doing it on the driveway put me off. There's probably a quicker easier way but I didn't fancy the risk.

Yep subframe out or at least lowered a lot on passenger side,you gotta undo it to drop it so may as well lose it,gearbox is easy then

SAC unit to aren't they?

You can get round this by tightening the pressure plate bolts half a turn at a time to clamp it up evenly, alternative is a pricey tool
