Confusion on RFL ?
« on: 21 February 2016, 12:50:30 »

Ok this is no doubt me but if i bought a 2.6 Omega reg in 2003 what would the yearly RFL be ?
And if that car was registered as an X reg what again would the RFL be, getting a tad confused here, i assume that being a 3.2 would make no difference as its no doubt at the limit of the CO2 emissions.

Not all the same ;)

Depends if they are registered post 1st March 2001, anything before this date tax is same. No matter what engine.

If registered after 1 March 2001, then it falls into the earlier emissions ratings. But they don't get the super high brackets introduced in 2006

Only exception is the 2003 2.2 manual, which is slightly lower, and Euro4 compliant  :y

Perfect..... as i suspected, so going for a late as possible (2003) Omega Elite with the 3.2 engine will only be £60 difference between an older (2000) with the 2.5 engine. Thanks for the info.

Assume you mean 2.2 DTi which is £265
2.2 Petrol is £290, same as V6s - just to clarify :)
