Car Insurance For the elderly

Mothers insurance is up for renewal, She drives a daihatsu sirion 1.3 Driving for 30 years,Never had a bump or claimed a penny..
Last year i got it for her  £286  This year the best i can find is £372.. Owing to her just turned 80 years old is that how it goes with the prices.

Fraid so. Insurance company looks at the risk of a claim and quite a number of elderly drivers are involved in bumps and scrapes. The very young and very old get hammered for insurance. The whole industry is a swizz.

It seems this year that many drivers are getting renewal prices quite a bit higher than previous cost. Age of course could have a bearing on quote also.Have you shopped around to see if quote can be bettered?

Motor insurance is a cash cow, for them to pay for all the flood damage, and seem like nice people, to those in flooded areas, o and keep there profits up :(
