IMHO Opel/Vauxhall did themselves no favours when they dropped the Omega format. It was the only car that could touch BMW/Mercedes in terms of driveability. I now have a Vectra 1.9CDTi auto Elite for my sins and it is simply crap in every possible way.

This Insignia needs to be really good to get anywhere near what the Omega is or was; the 4x4 may be the only hope.

My opinion on real driver's cars; German RWD cars are the best (Omega V6/BMWs/Mercs) - I don't like to drive FWD Audis, though they are nicely built.

thats what i think
after omega i go for 1999 or 8
s class it would cost the same a littel bit more
but i get a lot more than insignia or FWD 2.8 audi a8
insignia dosent feel driver car . maybe look better with irmsher body kit.  i just see pasat :-X

Those front headlights are straight of the new vectra and rear lights look like they are of a 5 series am sure it wont be built aswell!!!!!!!!!!!!
