« on: 09 June 2016, 10:53:38 »

Given no power, how might one remove the CD cassette? Possible or does it need power?

Thanks.

Can't help I'm afraid, but I was thinking about asking about your cassette.  Maybe not then...  ;D

I could connect a battery back up to the car but I've unplugged lots of stuff and I'm a little afraid an air bag might go off.

It won't if you remove the airbags first ::)

Joking aside have just been asked this very question... cartridge gone in and won't eject... looking like ripping the front off dismantling to aid liberation :-\

If HU is out, connect cables from battery to negative & positive terminals on the terminal block at rear of said HU. Switch on, eject cartridge

You forgot that Haynes book term "simply" in there that usually precedes something I have no idea how to do.

I have no idea which is the + and - in the terminal block. *hint hint*
