Rocker cover
« on: 06 August 2016, 22:25:35 »

Just noticed today a little seepage of oil from 3 or 4 of the bolts do you think its the O rings that need changing? The breathers are all clear or maybe they need the torque checking although i think they may well be original as the car has only done 50000 and i can't see it mentioned in the service history!! Your thoughts and can you but O rings separately?

Yeah it will be o rings. But you need to remove covers to get to the o rings so. As it's such a ball ache of a job do the gaskets too  :y

For a "temporary repair" you could torque them with the hope they've just come loose. But doubt it  :y

Check your breathers. IF they are clear they should suck air in, not blow oil out.

Also check that the cam cover bolts haven't worked loose (torque to 8nm).
