when a pound is worth €1.45 again.  ::)

Depending on who you listen to, some would say that will never, ever happen again..

That remains to be seen, but if post BREXIT Britain does well and the economy continues to grow outside of the EU and the single market, then the investors will be back and sterling will be in demand again.   Add into the mix the fragile state of the Eurozones banks, which this time round includes Germany's Deutchebank and anything could happen if a full blown Eurozone banking crisis kicks off again.  ::)

I think that $2/£1 is very unlikely again in the foreseeable future, which is not a bad thing.  ;)  It's gone out of fashion these days but governments used to devalue their currencies deliberately to kick start their economies.

What I find interesting is that the currency traders who have been selling sterling are anonymous and unaccountable.  Which banks computer caused the so called 'Flash Crash' last week, when Hollande was rattling his sabre's?   ::)

Some say that parity may be just around the corner. ::) ::) ::) ;)

If this happens Unilever will be back for round 2. :)

It's important, I suppose, but I doubt anyone will starve to death or anything. If you have £50 to spend on groceries, then you buy the appropriately priced items to make sure they last.
As tight arse Opti has said already, Aldi stuff is fine......and cheap.

I have about 20 of the bags for life type in the car. If they break, they are swapped for free. :)

Worse than that already in some places.  A forex bureaux at Southampton Airport was in the news for offering €0.88/£1  :P

My mate flew in from the States a few weeks ago and didn't have any sterling with him and had to pay $1.55 for a £ at Heathrow!  :o. Silly boy!  ;D

It's blatant profiteering though IMO, and going back to Unilever they will be making more profit from their exports from the UK at the moment.  ::)

U.S Dollar/pound parity may or may not happen.

Whatever does happen in the future will be 'interesting'

I voted to remain but I feel everything will turn out fine in the long run. :y

Of course things will turn out alright for the people who are loaded, it will hardly touch them.

That's true, but it may well work out fine for ordinary folk as well.  :y. As Cameron told us at the very beginning of the BREXIT adventure "It's a huge leap into the unknown!"  ::)
