Agree.... I used to give £6/month to RSPCA via DD .... then one evening I got a phone call asking me if I would up the amount to £10/month....they wrote to me the next month telling me the DD had failed and they haven't had a penny since...its a shame really as I think they are a good cause.....

When our cat disappeared (pre-chipping), we contacted them and gave them a photo, and they promised to let us know if she was brought in.
2 weeks later a lady contacted us to tell us that on the exact same day that we asked them, she'd taken our cat in, as she'd been found in distress in her garden.

RSPCA had her up for adoption.
She'd had a massive stroke and couldn't actually stand up properly.  We had to have her put down 3 weeks later.
RSPCA had declared her fit for adoption.
