Vauxhall's new Mokka X Advert
« on: 13 November 2016, 13:37:44 »

Never ceases to amaze me what Car Manufactures come up with to sell Cars.

The New Mokka X advert as all about it comes with a Free Hotspot, are people really that gullible to go out and buy a brand new car based on the fact it comes with 3GB of Data for 3 months.  ::)

Yep.....most advertising for cars is aimed at the young and trendy, people in the 25 -35 age bracket.

They are not bothered about the old farts.....like STMO :)

The Astra K came with unlimited data for a certain amount each year, Maybe that's just the free trial or something to get people hooked onto the plan  :-\

So do advertisers assume this age group are idiots then ?, if so, are the advertisers in the same age group.  ::)

They probably are in that age group, or even younger.

The young(ish) people who buy these cars don't think like the old fogies on here ;D They probably haven't got a clue what goes on underneath the bonnet and don't want to know, either. It's a commodity, like anything else you can buy in the shops.

Advertisers don't assume that any age groups are idiots. They KNOW it for sure, and target specific ones. This is why successful advertising is so expensive.

According to a "lad" at work, my generation is responsible for him not being able to afford to buy a house or flat.

Nothing to do with the fact that he pays more in 3 months on a PCP plan on an Audi A1, than I spent on my Omega, nothing to do with the fact that he has an iphone 7 on contract, or that he spends £90 getting shoes re-soled, or that he went on a 3 week road trip down the east coast of america, or that he's going skiing in January.

Get your priorities right.

He was genuinely confused by the fact that I have a tape player in the omega and have a cheap adapter that plays music from my old samsung galaxy ace, and believes I am odd.
