A blown Chevy big block running LPG would give most truck engines a good kick up the arse...

Americans could buy Isuzu NQRs with small blocks. My old boss refused to buy us one.

Announced at a tree hugger conference today. The banning of all diesel vehicles from Paris, Madrid, Athens and Mexico city by 2025. The article also hints that many other cities are looking at this, including the Mayor of London!

So if you own a tractor, the writing is on the wall on where you will be able to drive it.

I never bought into the 'drive for derv'

Why would anybody want to buy a car that runs on fuel designed for agricultural vehicles.  ;)

Death to derv. :y ;D ;D :D

Bastid of the highest order...

...And an idiot as the fuel saving and maintenance costs would have more than paid for it ::)

About the same actually, he did look into it. Mechanically NQRs are pretty good, at 400k miles, the only major mechanical failure the one I used had was a headgasket and radiator at about 300k. Bottom end, gearbox and axle were untouched. We had several, and they were all similar. It's the rest of the truck that wears out; the body, electrical systems and interior are pretty flimsy. But they are cheap. Import costs and registration paperwork, plus having to pay for it upfront ruled out a V8.
