PaulW - I'm guessing yours isn't 'busy' - what sort of spec, what are queue levels (from uptime, top, etc), and amount of memory and swap used?

At the moment its not too busy no, I'll agree, but it is getting more use.

Hosting a few sites on it, got a forum running too which has always got someone on (not as busy as OOF mind, but it has its moments), its also got postfix running as a vmail system with mysql backend.  Also currently experimenting with a few people on flv encoding & streaming (as a friend is using for her showreel for getting a job http://www.vestatron.com/show-reel.html.)

Postfix is handling about 20 email addresses so far, 7 which are heavy use (2 are mine).  This will be expanded at somepoint as they will be supplied to certain members on the forum.

The only 'read' hog I have in regards to memory is clamd, but I'm looking into getting Kaspersky, as well its better and apparently less of a pig.

if I'm not wrong there were a bunch of parameters for tuning memory (especially for databases) .. But possibly you tried that :-/
