happy times??????
« on: 26 December 2016, 19:32:14 »

Well, its that time of the year, MOT time (on wed) everything looks ok and if it does fail on anything, I  can only see the noise from the exhaust , letting it down and an advisory from last year was the headlight were a tad "cloudy". IF it does fail. I am not going to spend on it like I did last year, will just get rid, sadly, but hey ho, am not physically fit enough  now, to do any work :(

Smart cars could only be useful if you bought a pair and used them as roller skates.  :)

to be very honest, I love the Omega  :y, but it cost a small fortune this year, as had to rely on a garage to do things, as I am not able to, and the fuel used etc, is a tad to much now, as had to cut my work right back.  And not forgetting a massive speed fine, (my own silly fault). I have until march when the road tax is due, to make my mind up, and see if I am made redundant from my current job, as failing health problems will not see me get another job   :(

Beware, do some research as "Smart" cars have a whole host of their own problems. One of the major ones is that at all of around 50k is to gum up the rings and burn oil ( as in all of it very quickly!!) and also to burn out number three pot exhaust valve, job and a half to fix if it has not burnt all the oil and over heated the motor, if so one dead engine!!   :-X

which engine ..... 600cc 700cc or the Mitsubishi 1000cc?  ::) ::) Actually, the engine to avoid is the MHD (mini hybrid, which isn't a hybrid, it's just stop/start) because the stop/start drive belt fails due to a tensioner failing which takes the water pump out and as you don't get a temp gauge it goes tits up before you know it. Merc are on their third tensioner mod
