A while ago you were asking how the families on benefits who were given £26,000 were getting on. Channel 5, Thursday.

Yes.....I remember this 'experiment'.

The powers that be at Channel 5 selected people who were, in my humble opinion, 'quite likely to fail'. This is so we can all throw heavy objects at the television and shout "You fu*king lazy bastards, hanging is too good for you"

In summary, I think they were set up.

Channel 5 could easily have sourced plenty of educated, driven, and articulate people from the unemployment queue, many of who would be successful if given the opportunity. But where would be the sport in that?

£26000 with no tax to pay must be in excess of £30000 in the real world.
