How much extra is it to pay monthly?  About a tenner I think. 

Not enough that Lord Opti would notice and you have the benefit of not having to wait for a refund if you sell the car. 

Reading this thread though it seems like a mindset where some feel its like paying on tick or something, whereas I just see it as paying the tax month to month rather than annually.

You don't have to wait for a refund if you pay monthly, you just cancel the payments. For me, that's just a tap on my iPad.
