a/c repair question
« on: 27 June 2017, 23:04:31 »

So...after being diagnosed with a leaking condenser and being quoted 370 to supply and fit the new part I have decided to replace it myself at a fraction of the cost.  Is it really mandatory that the receiver dryer is replaced at the same time as the condenser ?

Thanks

A decent, supplier will supply the condenser with the drier, avoid the neilsen condenser, doesn't fit to well.

No it's not mandatory. But is a very good idea because if you do have to replace it in future you'll have to have gas recovered, fit new part, then regassed.

But I understand money does dictate sometimes  :y
