Omega pfl white paint
« on: 06 August 2017, 10:12:46 »

I am changing a front wing on my 94 pfl saloon. The car is Casablanca weiss colour. Got a used rust free wing in white but on closer inspection the new wing is more yellowish/offwhite in colour while the car is brilliant white. Are there different white colours on the pfl omega or have the new wing just faded somehow? And if so can you Get the really white colour back somehow?

Noticed an Edge in the paint on the part of the wing that is covered by the bonnet. Guess it probably got repainted sometime in the past and they got the shade of white slightly wrong. Fitted it Anyway as the old wing had rusted through several places and the new one is mint apart from the shade of white:)

W/X/Y/Z474 All the same colour ;)

They probably used an old Ford or VW white as they're a bit creamier... the GM one has alot of blue in it :o

Also, if it were properly bodged, then cheap household gloss white yellows over time :D

Thanks for the reply. Y474 is the paintcode on the car. Paintjob on the fender looks good. Didnt notice anything before i saw the slight masking line under the bonnet. Just as you said a slightly creamier tone.
