Went last year,same as all the car shows that I attend....a bit boring if the truth be known. I've started counting the cost i.e fuel,wear and tear and things like admission charges and the shitty weekend traffic.....staying local is the new plan.

That's good enough, save the cash and buy  ?? Something with a bigger engine, or a fire engine

Nope....got work coming up on the Omegas, got a problem with the a/c and brakes on one, and at least one needs a diff change and perhaps the Elite as well with 240k on the clock, courtesy of our man in Huntingdon. Still got a Monaro on the bucket list which the Omegas might end up helping out with on  the finances and the parking

Turns out I couldn't have made it anyway[unless I'd gone in the V70]but then I figure with petrol/admission/something to eat and drink and quite possibly something from the autojumble it would have been close on a £100 day out Hope it was a success and at least the weather was good

ER £600 for a steering wheel, didn't see that.

It was that company form die Faterland what bring over brand new original Opel parts. Pricey (ie: often more expensive than it was new, even factoring in inflation) but shouldn't knock them as they have 'everything', even Monza inner wings, which only a few years ago were literally unobtainable. Anyone has a scabby irmscher wheel for free that I can re-cover let me know

 I know of a carbon steering wheel for sale.
It was execptionly hot on the Sunday, 31 degrees
Good sales on the Sunday
Saturday had a Spitfire flypast with a few runs over the site.
Sunday was a Hurricane fly past

I'm still looking for both a gloss wood and silver Irmscher steering wheels with radio controls with no luck... Can't even find one to refurbish - the coloured part can be repainted but really need the leather bit to be as good as possible as it's harder and more expensive to put right.

I must get round to fitting my wood one that's been sat in the garage since the day it was rebuilt.
