Apparently I need something called an 'aircon bomb' for £56.

 And, apparently, my wheel geometry is all wrong so I require 4 wheel alignment at a cost of £162. I have asked for the printout for the procedure they performed. They don't have it. Hmmm.

My guess is they simply make it up as they go along.

Nah, they have an experienced eye. They can spot a customer over-burdened with cash at 100 paces. No specialist equipment required

I find it hard to believe that a well-respected car dealer would be  less than 100% truthful.

Yes. I considered this. Even using their own figures all tyres have an inner/middle/outer tread depth within 0.3mm.
