Parrot car phone system
« on: 19 August 2008, 09:50:41 »

Just checking to see if any of the members have used a parrot car phone system . Just just looking at Halfords web site and seen some.

I have the NDC 2013 system fitted so was just thinking if one of this would be better than getting the one that pulgs in to the car.

Also would anyone know the best place to get one of the of the Parrot or cradle systems from.

Thanks

Steve.

I got one last year. Decided to install it myself as they had an offer on at the time with free installation and were booked up for ages.
As I was in a rush to fit it I didn't manage to get the sound through the car speakers but the kit included a speaker which I've used since without problems. Must have a look at that now I've got a bit of time.
I found it quite easy to wire into the phone connector behind the glove box with the mic cable run up the nearside A pillar to fit in the courtesy light.
Kit was about £80 IIRC.

I've got one that I took out of a part exchange, think its the CK3100 or something. Doddle to fit and works well, doesnt like the voice dialling on my new Nokia E51, worked on the older Nokia though, might be fixable but didn't get any instructions with it. I find car kits work much better with an external aerial, and with properly soldered joints, no scotchlocks.

We have the parrot ck3100 installed into our work vans and they work fine no probs with them at all. Good sound that come through the van speakers nice and loud, clear as well.
