Rough price for 2.2DTI Elite
« on: 25 August 2008, 13:31:33 »

Toying with getting rid of the Omega, not because there is anything wrong with it just the time I've owned it, but need an idea of a realistic price I would get for it although replacement options are limited.

Any ideas apreciated.

Car is a 2002 2.2DTI Manual Elite Estate with LSD and leather as added options.

Added since I bought it four years ago are - Parrot phone kit, towbar, K&N panel filter, stainless cat back exhaust (just slighltly noisier than standard) and a set of Eibach springs (front down by 40mm and rear by 30mm and has retained the self leveling which works fine).

Mileage is around the 54,000 mark,  rust is minimal with the main area being the bottom of the rear door. Leather is immaculate with no defects.

BOSE system in good order with the head unit having been replaced for a standard unit within the last two years.

Steve

No idea on price I'm afraid, but nobody seems to be buying Omegas sadly - really is a buyers market, but people are scared by economy now we have been accustomed to high fuel prises, and scared by the huge tax increase  :'(

Shame, as that is a lovely looking motor, and one I'd consider buying myself.

But for what you are likely to get for it, the difficulty in selling, I think you're better off keeping it.

AT has a lot of overpriced Omegas that aren't selling at the moment...

No Elites on AT anyway. Keeping it is an option that I may just have to get used to, never kept a car as long as this before so that alone says a lot for the Meega.

I'll get some pics on as well to back up the description and I have the options listing from Vaux for the chassis number as well.

I don't think its just Omegas. I was at Ewloe auctions last weekend and nothing was selling, the auctioneer was throwing his toys out big time. ::)

Because it is a high spec diesel estate you will get a good price, with those miles and equipment expect about £3 to £3.5k. Wish I could afford it, it is exactly what I want and is a rare car.The only downside is the modifications, cars sell much better in standard condition, upgraded wheels and music aren't a problem but intefering with suspension etc normally puts people off in my experience.

There's a point, it's chipped as well.
