Audi A8
« on: 27 August 2008, 18:57:12 »

Well, i have had this Audi A8 for about 2 months now and its been back to the dealer 3 times, glove box door fell off, front bumper dropped on one side and the warning lights keep flashing on and off.

I got rid of my CDX for this, ok, no contest but the miggy was a better ride believe it or not.

Still love driving my miggy though.

The Audi is a fantastic car but i cannot praise the interior build quality.

The 2.8 is a fast engine though.

Aluminium bodywork means goodbye to rust too.

Why on earth didn't GM zinc coat the whole car in the Miggy? In fact, which bits WERE zinc coated. I seem to have little spots spruoting all over the place on mine.  :(

In my last job a steel fabby, our boss wanted to enter the German market with our products, but first we had to pass their welding standards, so our boss spent £4,000 for these two germans to come over (all expences paid) & put us through our paces. We all passed with no problems, why? Because their standard was the same as ours. They just like to think they're better  :P ::)

We think all things German are well made because that is what we are told.
many of the Mercedes cars use nasty brittle cheap looking plastics for the interiors........not like Mercs of old. :y :-*

friend of mine is working at a bodyshop currently....

Y reg C class with less than 30k on the clock, new rear quarter panel required due to rust!!!!

52 E class estate, new tailgate, quarterpanel and o/s doors, all replaced due to rust

The germans are very good at making people believe they have the best quality in the world, sadly that is far from it
